A passion for sharing knowledge is what drives Alejandro’s commitment to training interpreters. Alejandro is the Resource Development Manager at MCIS Language Services. He graduated from the Master of Conference Interpreting program at York University after having attended Business Administration and Industrial Engineering programs at Universidad Javeriana in Colombia. He is well versed in language instruction and behavioural facilitation, and in his seven years at MCIS he has contributed significantly to the development of online training programs with notable advancements in legal, healthcare and social services interpreting. Alejandro has led a team of instructional designers, SMEs, voice talents and graphic designers in the successful development of the MCIS Online Language Interpreter Training. As a result of this training mega-project, the agency has been able to turn its traditional on-site training into online training tools to train learners remotely across Canada.
