Demi Krystallidou

Demi Krystallidou holds a PhD in Translation Studies (Medical Interpreting), an MSc in Traslating and Conference Interpreting and an MA in German Literature. She is a post-doctoral researcher and interpreter trainer at the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication at Ghent University, Belgium. Her research interests include the interpreter’s role in healthcare settings, patient-centred communication in interpreter-mediated consultations, non-verbal communication in interpreter-mediated interaction and the training of medical interpreters. She is currently involved in interdisciplinary research and teaching in the fields of Interpreting Studies and Clinical Communication.
